Fashion Design Department, School of Fine and Applied Arts in the Thai Creative Soft Power – Amazing Thailand: Borderline Collection project organized by Siam Center in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Epson (Thailand) Company Limited. The project aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their potential in contemporary fashion design using fabrics and patterns from Thai border provinces, under the concept of Thai creative power and Amazing Thailand.

Given the challenge of working with Khao Ma fabric from Ratchaburi Province, students blended Khao Ma patterns with inspiration from the Kalpapruek flower (the provincial flower of Ratchaburi) to design Resort Wear for men and women - 2 outfits total. The designs were created by 5 student representatives:

  1. Ms. Buachompoo Sanprasert
  2. Mr. Phonlaphot Khosermsri
  3. Mr. Theeradet Kaendee
  4. Ms. Sipang Sriboonruang
  5. Ms. Naphatkaramont Changthor

With A.Sorapong Ngewthong serving as advisor and project coordinator.

Simultaneously, Bangkok University students' fashion show work was prominently presented at Bangkok International Fashion Week 2025 - Visionary Stage at Siam Center, a fashion show platform that has been running continuously for over 18 years. This year showcased the power of Young Designers from 12 leading universities and design institutes nationwide under the theme "The Visionary of THAI Creativity," displaying Thai creative power that fuses local wisdom with new innovations.

This year, the Department of Fashion Design, Faculty of Decorative Arts, presented a fashion show under the concept "Cyber Resilience IV: Human First," continuing the concept of flexibility and adaptation in fashion in the digital age into its 4th year. The show was held at Visionary Stage, Atrium 1, G Floor, Siam Center. It presented work by 3rd-year students from Academic Year 2024 in course FSD323: Fashion Design & Transformative Future, reflecting the Human First concept - design that starts from humans, emphasizing quality of life, sustainability, and wearer comfort while integrating innovation, technology, and creativity through the use of CLO 3D software to seamlessly connect the real and digital worlds. This work was further developed through styling by 3rd-year students in Academic Year 2025 in course FSD342: Fashion Styling & Aesthetics to reflect the power of Thai Creative, convey Thai identity in a contemporary dimension, and create a fashion show aimed at a Transformative Future - fashion that is not only beautiful but also drives social change and a sustainable future at an international level. Asst. Prof.Dr.Thanotai Mongkolsin served as instructor and project supervisor, with A. Jetwat Viriyarat as special instructor.
