Creative Tourism: BUHTM Develops Areas to Elevate the Economy
The Department of Tourism Management, Faculty of Humanities and Tourism Management, organized a seminar activity in the course TM481: Trends and Issues in Tourism and MICE Industry, integrated with the course HT461: Research for Tourism and Hospitality Industry Section.

The event was honored by Mr. Chanyuth Sawetsuwan, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Bangkok Office, who gave a lecture on the topic "Pathum Thani Tourism Strategy: Creative Space for Economic Enhancement."

During this lecture, students gained knowledge about the current overall situation of Thai tourism, including future directions and trends, as well as the potential, strengths, obstacles, and approaches to developing tourism activities in Pathum Thani province to promote the economy. Additionally, students were assigned project tasks (Project-based Learning) to develop Pathum Thani's tourism areas, aiming to elevate the creative economy towards sustainability and to develop research topics linked to tourism development in the area. This project is supervised by Dr. Nonthawan Songserm, Associate Dean School of Humanities and Tourism Management, and Dr. Chayanisa Wongphan, Instructor Tourism Management Department School of Humanities and Tourism Management.
