Short Film Achievement Showcased at Netherlands Embassy Event

Congratulations to the No More Production team, students from the Innovative Media Production international program, who were selected to further develop their work and were invited to present it at the Netherlands Embassy event. This event was held at the Dutch Embassy as part of an LGBTIQ+ film screening, providing BUI students a space to showcase their creative work.

Let's get to know the No More Production team, whose name signifies their final collaboration as students. "No More" represents that they won't be able to work together in this format again after graduation. Throughout their 4-year program, they rotated group work, each taking on roles according to their strengths and interests, then reconnecting when they had good news to share.

DAD: A Proud Achievement
"Our main concept came from a very short version of the 'DAD' project we had previously created, which focused on LGBTQ issues in rural areas. Later, we developed the idea to create a documentary mixed with a short film to give viewers a clearer picture of the story. We received permission from Pop, the story's owner, to submit our work to the contest organized in collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy in Bangkok. Although we didn't win first place, we were selected to receive funding to develop our work into a longer and more in-depth piece. This developed version was screened at the LGBTIQ+ Movie Night at the Netherlands Embassy."

An International Platform Experience
"Being part of the Netherlands Embassy event was a truly meaningful experience because we had the opportunity to present our own work on an international platform. Additionally, it promoted understanding and acceptance of gender diversity (LGBTQ+), which is an important topic in today's society."

No More Production: This Lovely Team
"Working on this project taught us about teamwork, managing limited time and resources, and facing various obstacles. Our team was small, so we were short-staffed, but we overcame challenges through determination and cooperation from everyone. It was our final experience working as students, allowing us to try what we wanted to do before beginning our future careers."

Language as a Bridge Between Cultures
"Language is an important tool that opens opportunities for us to connect with people from diverse cultures. English allows us to present our work internationally and is a channel that enables the world to see our abilities and value even more. Learning English is important and necessary in today's globally connected world."
