2 BU-FIP Students Win Top Content SDGs Young Creator 2025 Award, Promoting Sustainability Through Digital Media

Congratulations to 2 students from the School of Business Administration, Financial and Investment Planning Program (BU-FIP), led by Tangkwa Chananchida Chaibutr and Namwan Apinya Nuchamorn, who received the Top Content University Level Award from the SDGs Young Creator 2025 project, organized by the Global Compact Network Thailand (GCNT).
The SDGs Young Creator 2025 project was established to encourage students to learn and develop digital media production skills to communicate about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a more widespread and accessible manner.

From Interest to Creating Change
Both students joined this project with an existing interest in SDGs but found that their peers didn't understand how important and relevant SDGs are to their lives. Tangkwa and Namwan shared, "SDGs go deeper than just nature conservation or saving the planet. From a business perspective, they are equally important. We wanted to convey SDGs stories to help friends become more aware." Additionally, they saw that the content creation skills learned from this project could be applied to knowledge dissemination and branding, which are crucial for doing business today.

Project Participation Process
The project involved multiple steps. Tangkwa explained, "It starts with producing a short vertical video no longer than 1 minute, following the MySDGsStory concept or 'SDGs Near Me,' which focuses on inviting people to join GCNT EXPO 2025. Then team members must complete the Thai SDGs Micro-Primer online course and submit an application with a link to the video posted on social media, along with proof of course completion to confirm project registration." Namwan added, "After submitting the application, we joined an online workshop to learn and enhance media production skills from real industry experts, including an onsite workshop with The Standard and orientation at GCNT EXPO 2025 at True Digital Park."

Hands-On Experience
After the workshops, all applicant teams (over 90 teams) went onsite at GCNT EXPO 2025 to serve as SDGs Young Creators, producing short videos about SDGs. Tangkwa and Namwan's team chose to focus on SDGs and Business, explaining, "How do SDGs relate to business? We showcased case studies of both domestic and international businesses that applied SDGs and benefited from them, and highlighted how young people who want to build successful and sustainable businesses should pay more attention to this."

What They Gained from This Project
Namwan shared, "We learned about media and content creation from renowned experts who clearly explained the video production process. I don't think we would have had the opportunity to learn these things anywhere else if we hadn't joined this project. We were also able to seamlessly integrate SDGs knowledge with business." Tangkwa added, "Most importantly, we got the opportunity to work onsite at an event full of SDGs stories and do hands-on work ourselves. These experiences are things we can build upon in the future."
