BU-ITI Students Join Forces Across Institutions to Create Award-Winning National Innovation

As our world gradually changes by human hands, green innovations serve as beacons of hope lighting the way toward a sustainable future. These innovations blend human ingenuity with nature's beauty. This is exemplified by Mr. Passadech  Chotikamas (Don), a Computer Science student from the School of Information Technology and Innovation, Bangkok University, and his friends from Thammasat University. As team Bio-Farmer, they created the Bio-Auto Fermenter, an automated household waste bio-fermenter, winning second runner-up in the final round of the Green Innovation Contest, competing for Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's trophy. The competition had 115 teams participating nationwide and was organized by PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited.

Uniting People with the Same Heart

"My friends and I have known each other since freshman year. We share a passion for innovation, so we invited like-minded friends to join in developing this project. This team was born from our shared passion. What makes us an excellent team is that although we each have different knowledge and expertise, we share the same goal: creating innovations for society and the environment."

The Results Mean More Than Just Awards

"This project gave me so much more than just the output. It provided new perspectives and opportunities to meet people who share the same passion, creating wonderful friendships. Moreover, what I got back was something I love - using creativity to develop innovations for society, which is very meaningful to me. These values I learned from my father, who taught me to always consider the world and society in whatever I think about."

Building on Experiences for Further Development

"From participating in various projects, I've applied the knowledge and skills to my personal project, which focuses on developing capabilities for autistic children, called Abilify. The project aims to build awareness that will lead to social acceptance, driven by innovation. I believe that people can change through creating positive, long-term sustainable changes."
