BU Steps into the Digital Era with "BUVERSE"

 

Creative Content Production and Digital Experience Program, School of Communication Arts announces the success of the CAVERSE project and is ready to further develop "BUVERSE," a virtual learning ecosystem, aiming to become a leading Digital University in Thailand. Following a Metaverse technology workshop, this initiative establishes a crucial foundation for developing BUVERSE, a virtual world that will transform the university's educational landscape.

 

 

Dr.Wasan  Uthaileang, Project Director, revealed that "CAVERSE is an important first step in creating the university's digital ecosystem. The project was honored to host leading experts including Prof. Dr. Lunchakorn Wutthisitthikulkij from Chulalongkorn University with the Mangosgo team, A.Jantima  Bouphan from the Multimedia and Entertainment Engineering Department, School of Engineering, and Dr.Phattanapon  Rhienmora from Games and interactive media Department, School of Information Technology and Innovation, who shared their expertise with over 50 students and staff members."

 

 

This workshop fostered interdisciplinary collaboration within and between universities, including international university networks, creating a community of developers and Metaverse technology enthusiasts.

BUVERSE: The Future of Learning at Bangkok University

The BUVERSE project, currently under development, features several highlights:

  • Immersive Virtual Classrooms - Cutting-edge 3D learning experiences comparable to leading universities like SWU Metaverse and Chulaverse, allowing students to experience teaching and learning in a new dimension
  • Digital Creative Spaces - Venues for producing works and hosting exhibitions in the virtual world, providing unlimited opportunities for students to showcase their creativity
  • International Academic Networks - Connected with Mangosgo university networks both domestically and internationally, offering cross-institutional learning opportunities and global knowledge and experience exchange
