The art and design industry plays a crucial role in the global economy and society. Developing skills and knowledge in art industry management is essential for enhancing the potential of professionals in this field. Recognizing this importance, Dib Bangkok and School of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University have collaborated to develop a short course program "Art Beyond Canvas: Management in Art Industry.”
This program consists of 42 hours of lectures and training, along with an internship program of 120 hours with partner organizations in the art sector. "Art beyond Canvas: Management in Art Industry" training program emphasizes learning from experts, on-site internships, and special lectures on relevant topics. It aims to equip students and individuals interested in art management with the skills needed to effectively manage art-related projects.
Additionally, the program collaboration with national and international art professionals—such as curators, artists, art managers, and gallery executives—provides valuable experience and career opportunities for students and recent graduates, fostering their professional growth in the art industry.
The program combines 42 hours of learning with professionals and 120 hours of internship with leading art organizations.
Art Industry Management Topics (36 Hours)
Module 01: Contemporary Art & Visual Culture
Module 02: Art Industry Foundation
Module 03: Management in Art Industry & Practice
Pre-Reading and assignments will be determined by professors/lecturers.
Special Topics (6 Hours)
Lectures by industry experts, including renowned artists, art marketers, and gallery executives, sharing insights, experiences, and career development guidance in the art industry. Additional special topics will be presented by guest specialists.
Internship (120 Hours)
Participants will intern at relevant organizations such as galleries, museums, or art management companies.
Internship assessment will be evaluated by mentors and supervisors with a final report summarizing experiences and key learnings from the internship.
Participants will gain essential skills, real-world experience, and insight from professionals across the art sector. The combination of academic training and on-the-ground practice empowers learners to confidently step into curating, gallery management, exhibition coordination, and other career paths. It also supports the growth of a stronger, more capable art ecosystem.

Selection Process: 2 July 2025
Announcement of Selected Participants: 5 July 2025
Training Period: 19 July – 13 September 2025 (Classes held every Saturday)
Internship Period: Begins after 20 September 2025
*Certificate awarded upon successful completion*
Program Fee: 25,000 THB
*For selected participants, scholarships available.
Eligibility Criteria
• Must be 20 years of age or above
• Open to all educational backgrounds and fields of study
• Should have a clear interest and commitment to developing a career in the art industry
• Strong interest in cultural and art management and/or contemporary art, or actively exploring a career in the art ecosystem
• Able to commit to attending all training sessions throughout the program period (held on Saturdays)
