Embracing Cultural Diversity at the International Lunar New Year 2025

The International Center hosted the "International Lunar New Year 2025" at the Surat Osathanugrah Library (C6 Building), creating a vibrant space for students to explore and immerse themselves in Lunar New Year traditions from various countries. This year, the event drew enthusiastic participation from Bangkok University students eager to experience the richness of diverse cultures.

The event featured cultural booths from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Philippines, each offering unique activities such as the Zodiac Sign Reading, Lunar New Year Lantern Making, Vietnamese Bingo, Chinese Brush Calligraphy, Indonesian Wayang Shadow Puppet Workshop, Chopstick Cotton Ball Challenge, and traditional treats like Tung Hu Lu and Vietnamese coffee.

Additionally, students could join the BU Library’s eco-friendly fabric bag workshop, Create a Bag of Joy: Chinese Blessing, and learn about overseas exchange programs at the BU Study Abroad booth.

A major highlight of the event was the Mister & Miss Golden Dragon 2025
Contest, where contestants demonstrated their confidence, cultural appreciation, and unique talents. The celebration was further enriched by a live music performance from BUI Music Club and an energetic dance showcase by BUI Dance Club, making the event both engaging and memorable.
